Leeds United look set to complete their ninth summer signing in the coming days with a deal for Noah Okafor at AC Milan.

The Whites kicked off their Premier League season with a big win at home to Everton on Monday night. Leeds United beat Everton 1-0 in the Premier League, following what’s been a strong summer window so far from Daniel Farke’s side.

So far, Leeds United have signed eight new players, but attention has fully turned to attacking signings, mainly with a winger and a new number 10 wanted at Elland Road.

After Manor Solomon returned to Spurs following his loan spell at Leeds United last season, the right side of attack has been vacant, but it looks as though Noah Okafor will fill that spot and possibly share it with Willy Gnonto throughout next season.

Leeds United could trigger Christantus Uche’s release clause at Getafe

Recently, Leeds United News reported that Leeds United have agreed a deal to sign Okafor from AC Milan. The Whites will pay around £13m to sign the Swiss international, taking Leeds’ summer spending total towards the £100m mark. But Farke doesn’t look set to stop there.

Reports in Spain claim that Leeds United and Premier League rivals Brentford are the best placed teams to sign Getafe and Nigeria for Christantus Uche. The twice-capped Nigerian international starred for Getafe in La Liga last season, with four goals and six assists in 33 appearances, and the 22-year-old already has one goal in one game this season.

It is reported that Uche has a €25m (£21.6m) release clause at Getafe, with interest also coming from the Bundesliga.

Will Leeds United still sign Manor Solomon this summer?

Uche and Okafor arriving will greatly bolster Leeds’ attack. Okafor can play on the wing whilst Uche is more of a number 10. Both players will greatly improve what is an okay Leeds United attack, but one that could certainly do with a lot more firepower before the September 1st deadline.

But Okafor arriving in particular looks set to squash any potential of Solomon returning to Leeds United. It has recently been reported that Solomon is allowed to leave Spurs this summer with interest coming from England and Spain.

Leeds United have long been one of the teams keen to sign Solomon this summer following the Israeli’s impressive loan season at Elland Road last time round. But with money steadily running out from what was reported to be a £150m transfer budget at Leeds United, and Farke likely wanting to save some for January or for any late priorities in the transfer window, an immediate deal for Solomon looks unlikely.

Nonetheless, Leeds United are putting together a very strong transfer window, and they’ve started the season in great fashion with an impressive win over the Toffees.
