An incredible story has emerged at Leeds United with reports they have seen a huge £25 million bid accepted for a new attacking midfielder.

Daniel Farke says Leeds will remain ‘awake’ for any new opportunities that potentially arise in the number 10 role amid interest in Gustavo Hamer and Roland Sallai, too.

Despite bringing in both Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon, Leeds would still like to add to their attacking options.

Georginio Rutter’s departure means Brenden Aaronson is Leeds’ only recognised number 10, and some more quality in that position would be huge.

Ao Tanaka has already been announced as Leeds‘ first deadline day signing and Isaac Schmidt is expected to follow, but hopefully he isn’t the last.

Leeds have huge bid rejected for Martin Baturina

Leeds appear to be getting no where in either of their pursuits of Hamer and Sallai, with two offers having been rejected for the former.

There is now also pessimism a deal gets over the line for Sallai and so Leeds are now looking at some other potential options.

According to Croatian outlet Sportske.jutarnji, Leeds have turned their attention towards Dinamo Zagreb attacking midfielder Martin Baturina.

Incredibly, Leeds are said to have seen a £25 million bid accepted by Dinamo for the 21-year-old, but he has turned down the prospect of a move to Elland Road.

Leeds’ pursuit has been compared to that of Josko Gvardiol back in their first summer in the Premier League, with Baturina also viewing it as the wrong place to continue his development.

Fiorentina are also interested in a move for Baturina but at this late stage of the window, he is deemed likely to stay at Dinamo.

Who is reported Leeds target Baturina?

Well it goes without saying this would’ve been a major coup for Leeds considering the value of the bid and the potential he has.

Baturina has already been capped by Croatia on four occasions, while also making 125 appearances for Dinamo’s first team.

He is fairly prolific when it comes to both scoring and assisting, having netted 16 and laid on a further 31 during his time in Croatia’s top division.

With all that said, this feels like a move that was simply never going to happen and a waste of time from Leeds’ point of view.
