Leeds United’s summer transfer haul looks set to rumble on with the signing of Sean Longstaff, who seems poised to become Daniel Farke’s fourth signing of the window so far.
Reports are stating that Leeds United are closing in on Sean Longstaff in a £12million deal. The experienced 27-year-old looks set to arrive at Elland Road where all of Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, and Sebastiaan Bornauw have signed so far.
And at £12million he’ll make for another relatively big-money signing for Daniel Farke this summer: Leeds spent £15million on Bijol and then another £5million on Bornauw who signed for the club last week.
Whilst there’s money for the 49ers to pump into the market this summer, Farke will no doubt take advantage of the free agent market too, with Nmecha being a free agent and a host of other free agents mentioned alongside a move to Leeds, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The latest on Dominic Calvert-Lewin as Leeds United’s striker search heats up
Next up, we could see Leeds sign another striker. There are several strikers linked with a move to Leeds United right now and one of those is Calvert-Lewin who’s leaving Everton as a free agent, and now has a host of potential options lined up elsewhere in the Premier League.
Leeds United are reportedly interested in Calvert-Lewin. Though recent reports have revealed how Man United are also interested in Calvert-Lewin, who the Red Devils have liked for some time now.
Speaking to Leeds United News, transfer expert Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Leeds have held talks over a deal for Calvert-Lewin, but that he’s not close to completing a move to Elland Road as things stand.
He said: “Leeds have had conversations with Dom Calvert-Lewin. He’s considering his options and Leeds are certainly one of them, there has been talks. Callum Wilson as well, but Leeds have held talks for Calvert-Lewin but he’s not close to signing or anything like that.”

Leeds United have clear three-man striker shortlist right now
It seems like Leeds are focusing their attentions on a few strikers right now: Calvert-Lewin, Callum Wilson, and Rodrigo Muniz.
Wilson is a free agent after leaving Newcastle United and it looks like Leeds and West Ham are the two teams currently trying the hardest to sign the 33-year-old, whilst Leeds are also making efforts to sign Muniz at Fulham.
Already this summer, Leeds United have had a £26million bid rejected to sign Muniz. More recent reports revealed how Leeds were weighing up a second bid for Muniz, but the Whites now face stiff competition to sign the Brazilian.
Spurs have now had a bid rejected for Muniz, thought to be around £32million as Fulham stand firm against their previous £50million valuation.
For Farke then, Calvert-Lewin could be a backup option at Leeds United in case they lose out in the race to Muniz or Wilson in the coming weeks.
