It’s finally been confirmed that Mateo Joseph will be spending this season on loan at Mallorca away from Leeds United.

The inevitable has happened, as after Daniel Farke dismissed the striker following his desire to leave, the Spaniard’s return to his home country has been confirmed.

With his departure, Joseph hopes to tell his side of the clash between the Leeds boss, but for now, he’s just focused on his new chapter.

It seems the best decision for all parties, as it got to a point where Leeds were fuming with Joseph, and the atmosphere seemed to be getting toxic.

Although Whites fans aren’t too happy with his actions, the Leeds faithful have said positive things about the 21-year-old.

Leeds United fans all hope Mateo Joseph does well on loan so his value increases

As Joseph takes his first step away from Elland Road after limited minutes, he now has the opportunity to prove his doubters wrong.

Of course, the Whites manager wanted to keep the striker, but his hand was forced by the forward’s refusal to train, as Farke didn’t give Joseph any more chances.

Despite his attitude not representing what the 49ers are trying to build, fans have picked out a positive factor about Joseph’s move.

Speaking on X, one fan wrote: “Hopefully he does well so we can sell him for decent money next season,” Another agreed, saying: “Hopefully it does, and we can sell him for 20 mill after the season.”

“All the best Mateo, go score 20 goals please,” an eager fan wrote, as another had Joseph’s full backing: “Smash in the goals bruv so we can sell you for mega money next season..”

With his departure many fans have criticised him, but the striker wants to show his worth: “This is now his chance to show people what he can do, he needs to back up his own hype hopefully he has a blinder and will be worth a few quid,” it seems like the overall consensus is praying for Joseph’s success: “Let’s hope* it does work out because then we’ll have a more valuable asset on our hands.”

It’s quite a shock to still see some positive words for the 21-year-old, but of course, it’s only benefiting the Peacocks for the future.

Pablo Torre could be the key to Mateo Joseph’s value rising for Leeds United

It seems like the owners had the same feeling when thinking about the Spanish star’s fortunes as the Leeds hierarchy didn’t want to risk selling Joseph for this reason.

He’s got the chance to score a plethora of goals in LaLiga as he’s joining a Mallorca side that finished tenth last campaign.

But the key to what could be a bright season for Joseph is the Spanish outfit’s new attacking midfielder, Pablo Torre, who has been a creative machine in his early career.

Both he and Joseph will have their first chances in starting roles, and it could be a match made in heaven.

Torre can provide a big help for Leeds in supplying the striker next season, as his value could skyrocket if he plays his cards right, and it will be the Whites bathing in his glory.
