Leeds United will hope player recruitment runs smoothly ahead of a potential Premier League season next campaign.

The 49ers will be looking to avoid any form of underwhelming signings and will be hoping to hit the nail on the head in Leeds’ next transfer window.

At one point five additions were projected to sign for Leeds which seemed like an extremely unlikely scenario, but the summer would welcome these sorts of numbers.

Leeds target Alvyn Snches rejected a Besiktas move as the player has emerged as a likely target for next summer.

Another target might have put his name back in the frame, but it all depends on future plans.

Leeds United could be involved in Cole Palmer-esque situation

Cole Palmer of course wouldn’t be the sort of player to sign for Leeds anytime soon, but the Whites still have a similar player on their radar.

James McAtee has been linked with Leeds, but a January deal never came to occurrence as Pep Guardiola had plans for McAtee.

This remains to be seen though, as Daniel Farke might still have a chance to sign the midfielder.

According to Journalist Ben Jacobs (TEAMtalk), Leeds have had internal talks with McAtee ahead of what could be a busy summer for the owners.

Jacobs states that City still ‘don’t want him to leave’ as the same reason will be used this summer.

However, Leeds could be handed the opportunity if McAtee begins to question his game time and could ask for a ‘permanent exit’.

City may reluctantly agree, after past situations involving Cole Palmer, whose move paid off dividends when he joined Chelsea.

How much McAtee would cost Leeds United in the summer

The 22-year-old is an extremely promising player at City and will have no doubt raised his price tag after excellent loan spells with Sheffield United.

Adding onto this, McAtee has appeared 16 times for Guardiola’s side this season, as the City boss is clearly an admirer of the attacking midfielder.

However, Guardiola would no doubt have been fond of Palmer, and we all know what happened there.

In terms of price, McAtee was valued at £20m in November which could prove to be a steal.

Leeds couldn’t afford that in January, but a summer move with the hope that the Whites are in the Premier League could be a brilliant decision for all parties.
