Leeds United have finally announced the signing of Jaka Bijol from Udinese.

Daniel Farke has now added a second summer signing to his squad as Jaka Bijol was at long last confirmed as a new Leeds United player on Monday.

Bijol flew to England to undergo a medical at Thorp Arch on Thursday and an official announcement was expected before the end of the working week.

Fans have been forced to wait but that doesn’t make them any less delighted that the towering Slovenian centre-back has been signed.

Bijol becomes Leeds’ second signing of the summer transfer window after the capture of Lukas Nmecha on a free following his release from Wolfsburg was revealed last week.

Here are all the details about Bijol’s move to Elland Road.

How much Leeds United paid for Jaka Bijol

Leeds have not confirmed how much they have spent on Bijol, only announcing that they have paid an undisclosed fee.

In the announcement of the signing, Leeds said on the club’s official website: “Leeds United are delighted to announce that Jaka Bijol has joined the club from Italian side Udinese for an undisclosed fee.

However, reports have already suggested that Leeds will pay £18.75m for Bijol.

Jaka Bijol Leeds United contract

Leeds have confirmed how long Bijol will be staying at Elland Road, however.

The club have announced that Bijol has put pen to paper on a five-year contract, which would keep him in Yorkshire until 2030.

Bijol is 26 so could be spending the rest of his peak years at Leeds, until he is 31.
