West Ham United are the latest Premier League club showing interest in Leeds United ace Crysencio Summerville and a report now shares how much the Hammers are willing to pay.

The 22-year-old Championship Player of the Season is in demand this summer and has been linked with plenty of top-flight clubs, after Leeds didn’t secure promotion to the Premier League in the play-off final.

It comes after scoring 21 goals and laying on 10 more in assists for Daniel Farke’s side. Recently, the wide man was said to be ‘weighing up his future’ with Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace keen.

Serie A side Roma are also said to have opened talks to sign the Dutch forward, while Fabrizio Romano reported that West Ham had made contact over a deal for Summerville this summer but there is an issue.

West Ham only want to pay half of Leeds’ Summerville price

TalkSPORT report that the Hammers are keen to sign Summerville from Leeds as new West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui looks to build a side capable of fighting for European qualification in the Premier League.

But, the report says West Ham will only pay £20m to sign Summerville and that is half of what Leeds want for the former Feyenoord man. Archie Gray’s move to Tottenham has put Leeds in a better financial place.

The report states that because of Gray’s sale, Leeds are not under any pressure to cash in and want full whack for Summerville if they are to sell. Leeds want double what West Ham are offering for Summerville.

What Summerville’s agents expect will happen this summer

Summerville’s representatives expect the player to leave Leeds, as do the club and indeed, the player himself. However, his agents are keen to do a deal that benefits Leeds after bringing him to England.

What Leeds are finding is that clubs are looking to avoid the tight stronghold of Profit & Sustainability Rules and it means that bargains and loans are the order of the day, making Summerville a pricey buy.

Whether Leeds find a club willing to meet their demands for Summerville this summer remains to be seen. If he is to go, Summerville may have to kick up a fuss which as things stand, he has not done.
