It’s become obvious that Leeds United’s fourth signing of the summer will be Gabriel Gudmundsson.
After Leeds lost Junior Firpo at left-back, the 49ers have acted quickly to sort out his replacement.
This has come in the form of Lille and Sweden international, Gudmundsson, who is set to join Leeds for £10m.
In promising signs for Leeds, Lille fans aren’t happy with Gudmundsson’s fee as it seems Daniel Farke is landing a strong option at full-back.
With the deal almost over the line, a medical has been completed, but there is still one more thing.

Gabriel Gudmundsson completes Leeds United medical but there is one more thing
With Gudmundsson being added as the fourth summer signing, the 26-year-old will look to get stuck in straight from the off.
Farke’s defence looks complete with the signing of the Swede, who brings experience from not only Ligue 1, but the Champions League as well.
Leeds beat Jose Mourinho to Gudmundsson’s signature, as the left-back clearly has fond admirers aside from the Whites.
It’s now been confirmed by Sky Sports journalist, Zinny Boswell, that Gudmundsson has completed his medical at Thorp Arch.
However, before an announcement can be officially made, ‘finishing touches’ are needed for the deal, as the left-back will be eager to have the move confirmed.

Gudmundsson brings an attacking outlet for Leeds to Farke’s joy
The Swede has impressed in France, and this will be the first big step in his career.
After four seasons in Lille, he showed the Whites hierarchy exactly what he can bring to replace Firpo, as filling in for 14 goal contributions is a hard feat, but Gudmundsson looks like he’ll be just fine.
Gudmundsson has been called the ‘perfect’ Firpo replacement, and judging by this evidence, he can fill the void nicely through his overlapping runs on the left and having a keen eye for goal from left-back.
£10m is another sensible signing from the 49ers, with the Swede’s addition bringing the overall transfer spend to just over £30m.
