Leeds United are already stacking up their transfer shortlist ahead of the summer, despite their promotion push from the Championship still being far from over.
Leeds United have the chance to pull five points clear of Sheffield United in 2nd place of the Championship table when the two teams meet at Bramall Lane on Monday night.
It’s yet another Monday night promotion showdown for Daniel Farke’s side who came from behind to beat Sunderland 2-1 in their last outing, with a late Pascal Struijk brace securing the dramatic win at Elland Road.
Ahead of the summer, it seems like Farke is steadily drawing up a list of targets with a return to the Premier League in mind, with some exciting names being linked with moves to West Yorkshire including the likes of Cameron Archer and Emi Buendia.
Both were wanted in January but Farke couldn’t get deals over the line for either player. They join names like Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson in being linked with Leeds ahead of the summer, as the Whites seemingly gear up for a big summer window.

West Ham and Everton join Leeds United in race for Kyle Walker-Peters
Another name linked with Leeds right now is Southampton and England full-back Kyle Walker-Peters. Like Wilson, the former Spurs man is out of contract in the summer and with his Saints side looking nailed on for relegation, it looks like Walker-Peters will be on the move.
Leeds had a look at the 27-year-old in January but recent reports have revealed that Leeds want to sign Walker-Peters on a free transfer at the end of this season. Unfortunately for Leeds, though, West Ham and Everton are also keeping tabs on the twice-capped England star.
ExWHUEmployee has revealed that Walker-Peters is now a target for Graham Potter’s side. Meanwhile, GIVEMESPORT say that David Moyes at Everton is also keeping tabs on Walker-Peters ahead of his contract expiring.

Leeds United may have their eye on another defensive signing first
No doubt, Leeds would need to bolster heavily if they return to the Premier League. The defence as a whole needs bodies and additional quality and whilst Walker-Peters would be a strong signing, Farke seems to have his heart set on signing Nico Elvedi.
Elvedi was also linked with Leeds in January and has already been linked again ahead of the summer. Recent reports state that Borussia Monchengladbach have slashed Elvedi’s asking price tag from £10million to £7.5million.
Leeds may well prioritise that signing over any other going into the summer. Though Walker-Peters on a free transfer would be a coup, it doesn’t seem like he’s Farke’s no.1 defensive target right now.
