Leeds United are going to be busy in the transfer window this summer after winning promotion to the Premier League, but one player linked with Leeds is the subject of an offer from Crystal Palace.

Paraag Marathe has confirmed Leeds will spend every penny they are allowed to, without violating Profit & Sustainability Rules. But a few bargains or free transfers would certainly go a long way in helping Leeds.

If Leeds can muster a couple of Ao Tanaka-like bargains – with Tanaka bought for just £3.4m and named in the Championship Team of the Season – then The Whites will be able to spend big on other priorities.

The 49ers want six new signings and Adam Pope believes the Yorkshire outfit will need to spend north of £100m to possibly survival. But Leeds are set to miss out on a player shining under Jose Mourinho.

Leeds United are supposedly interested in Bright Osayi-Samuel

Nigeria international Bright Osayi-Samuel is set to end his four-and-a-half-year spell at Fenerbahce, having starred for the SuperLig giants. Leeds have been linked with Osayi-Samuel in recent years.

But with his contract at Fenerbahce coming to an end, there is going to be a whole list of players keen on a move to land his signature. Leeds are currently in the race to sign Osayi-Samuel on a free transfer.

According to a report from Nigerian outlet Motorcycle Sports, Crystal Palace have made a move to sign right-back Osayi-Samuel on a free transfer. The Eagles have tabled a £75k-a-week, four-year contract.

A huge offer for a player with no Premier League experience. Leeds do have Jayden Bogle and there will be confidence the former Sheffield United man is able to provide Leeds with a solid option in the top tier.

Osayi-Samuel can play on the left of the defence, or as a winger on either side of the attack. But given he is not a natural left-back, Leeds have Bogle and are strong on the wings, Osayi-Samuel isn’t a priority.
