Piotr Zielinski shuts the door on Inter Milan exit amid Leeds links
Experienced Poland star Piotr Zielinski was linked with Leeds a couple of months ago, alongside Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini. Zielinski was struggling to start under new Inter Milan manager Christian Chivu.
But that has changed, and Zielinski is becoming a much more important part of Inter’s side as the season goes on. Inter were open to Zielinski’s exit due to his £140k-a-week wages, deemed a prime candidate.
However, after playing 84 minutes in Inter’s 1-0 away win over Atalanta last time out, Zielinski spoke to TuttoMercatoWeb and confirmed that he only has eyes on the second half of the season with Inter.
“We have a lot of great players in the team, and I get along really well with my teammates. We’ll try to win as much as possible [in 2026]. A team like ours must have big goals,” Zielinski said, after the 1-0 win.

Zielinski is going to be a key player for Poland at the World Cup next summer, a player who boasts north of 100 caps. But a lot of Poland’s success will depend on the form Zielinski is in, going into the World Cup.
The same with Robert Lewandowski, Atalanta’s Nicola Zalewski, Aston Villa’s Matty Cash. Cash has even described Zielinski as the best player he has ever played with. Poland need Zielinski playing to his peak.
It saw Poland’s manager say about Zielinski, earlier this season: “If he doesn’t get more minutes going towards the next break for international duty in November, then it can become a problem.”
But Zielinski now seems to be getting the necessary game time at Inter and clearly, the Poland ace only has eyes on playing for Inter in 2026. While he might have considered a move recently, he isn’t, now.
