The halfway stage in the January transfer window is in sight and Leeds United are yet to make any serious inroads in terms of incoming signings at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke has made it clear on a number of occasions that he is expecting a quiet window at Leeds United. However, Farke has hinted he could sign a striker and perhaps strengthen one or two other areas.
There seems to be more activity in terms of outgoings. Joe Gelhardt’s move to Hull City could be a done deal on Tuesday, while Charlie Crew is set to join League Two side Doncaster Rovers until the summer.
Farke’s nemesis John Eustace wants Patrick Bamford at Blackburn. Perhaps, if one or two of those players do go, it could make room for new signings and one player on Leeds’ radar is Burnley ace Mike Tresor.

Scott Parker performs u-turn on Leeds United target Mike Tresor
Burnley were forced to sign Belgium international Tresor permanently in the summer for £16m. Having initially joined on loan, an obligation was included and it meant despite relegation, Burnley had to pay up.
Prior to the weekend, Tresor had failed to play a single minute of football this season. But he came off the bench against Reading in The FA Cup as the game went into extra time, before Burnley finally won 3-1.
Tresor created one of Zian Flemming’s two extra-time goals and Scott Parker told The Burnley Express after the game he plans on integrating Tresor back into the side, which is a bit of a u-turn from Parker.
“He’s come into it today, he’s come off the bench and he’s had an impact. As always now, we’ll just keep nudging along with Mikey and hope to give him some more football. Mikey’s not played for some time,”
“He was out for large parts last year with a real illness and it’s been a bit of a stop-start, certainly since I’ve been here for Mikey. But you can see his quality. He just probably needs to still keep getting up to speed.
“But you see that as soon as he comes in, he assists. He was around things when he’s got the ball. So I was pleased to get him on the pitch and get him a feel for things again,” Parker said, discussing Tresor.

What Scott Parker said about Mike Tresor’s future this month
Earlier this month, Parker was quizzed on Tresor. Clearly, there is a quality player in Tresor, who holds the record for the most assists in one season in Belgium’s top tier with 24 assists during the 2022-23 season.
“I’m honestly not really sure,” Parker said on the future of Tresor at Turf Moor. “What I do know is that the club have put huge investment into Mikey and he’s obviously got quality,” Parker continued on his future.
Leeds are expected to focus on signing a new striker and a centre-back. Do Leeds need another winger? Probably not, but it may allow a player like Wilfried Gnonto to move into the middle of attacking midfield.
