Bright Osayi-Samuel could be on his way back to England this summer, with Leeds United among the teams looking at the Fenerbahce wing-back.
Bright Osayi-Samuel has been with Fenerbahce since leaving QPR in January 2021, having made an impressive 172 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side and winning the Turkish Cup in 2023.
Ahead of his contract expiring this summer, Osayi-Samuel has been linked with Leeds United. But Daniel Farke’s side are not alone in their admiration of the Nigerian international with Crystal Palace among those thought to be interested.
There’s been a lot of back and forth about whether Osayi-Samuel would be leaving this summer but the bulk of reports have leaned towards him leaving. That was until earlier in April when it was revealed that Osayi-Samuel and Fenerbahce had held talks over a new deal.
Those talks were reported to be positive too, seemingly suggesting a U-turn from Osayi-Samuel who’s now spoken out on his future himself.

Bright Osayi-Samuel set for Fenerbahce crunch talks amid Leeds United links
Speaking after his side’s previous game against Sivasspor, Osayi-Samuel moved to play down a lot of the noise about his future, even suggesting that a lot of what’s been reported about his situation in Turkey is not true.
The 27-year-old has said: “It’s actually hard to comment on this situation. Many people act like they know the subject! I play for Fenerbahce, and I’m very happy about it. People say different things. It was said that a contract was signed and that I didn’t accept it, but there is no such situation.
“I have a very good dialogue with the president. My only thought right now is the championship. We will meet with our president after the season is over and see what happens.”

What else has been said about Bright Osayi-Samuel to Leeds United?
This isn’t the first time that Farke’s side have been linked with Osayi-Samuel with reports last summer that Leeds United bid £7million to sign Osayi-Samuel ahead of this current season.
Since then, it looked like Osayi-Samuel has been mulling over what to do next with his future very much up in the air. But one thing seems certain and that’s that he wants a pay rise with whoever he signs for next.
It’s been reported that Osayi-Samuel wants a salary of £2.1million (£41k-a-week) which would make him Leeds United’s highest-paid player should he sign.
But there remains strong interest from elsewhere with Galatasaray interested in Osayi-Samuel who could yet make the switch from Fenerbahce, in what would prove a controversial move indeed.
