Leeds could lose a few players this winter.
Reports in Spain have already claimed that Jack Harrison wants to leave for Valencia after receiving just one Premier League start from Daniel Farke so far this season.
Now – according to Het Nieuwsblad – another Leeds player in Sebastiaan Bornauw also has eyes on an exit from Elland Road.
Sebastiaan Bornauw wary of World Cup snub but Daniel Farke may keep him at Leeds United
The Flemish news outlet now state that the Belgium international actually wants to leave Yorkshire this winter, as his lack of action under Farke has the defender fearing he may miss out on the World Cup this summer.
Should Leeds sign a replacement for Joe Rodon or finally hand Sebastiaan Bornauw a chance? 🤔
The Belgian has played just two minutes of Premier League football since his £5.1m move from VfL Wolfsburg in July… 😬
Before Joe Rodon suffered damage to his ankle at Sunderland, Bornauw had played just two minutes in the first 18 Premier League outings of the campaign following his £5.1m move from VfL Wolfsburg in July.
The Leeds No.23 has since made two consecutive starts as cover for Rodon, helping Leeds secure a 0-0 stalemate at Anfield against Liverpool and a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Elland Road.
Het Nieuwsblad say Bornauw’s excellent performances in these games mean he “might have shot himself in the foot” by impressing Farke, who is now set to try and deny the 26-year-old an exit.

The reliable news outlet add that Leeds and the German were previously open to letting the man born in Wemmel leave at the start of the month, but his efforts against Liverpool and Manchester United have changed the situation.
That can be understood from the viewpoint of Farke and the 49ers, but for Bornauw, he can quite rightly argue that a swift return to the bench beckons once Rodon recovers and that he should – at least – be allowed to leave on loan.
Sebastiaan Bornauw will hope Leeds United can wrap up Danilho Doekhi deal
We highly doubt Leeds will let Bornauw leave after he proved himself in the last two games, but a new signing could change Farke’s mind.
Doekhi can be one of Farke’s best signings – do you agree? 🧱
Leeds are trying to sign Danilho Doekhi from Union Berlin – according to TEAMtalk – as the Dutchman enters the final six months of his contract.
The Union Berlin No.5 has already decided he will not be signing a new deal with the Bundesliga side, so Leeds have a strong chance at wrapping this deal up.
Should an agreement materialise, it will give Farke the defensive deputy he needs behind Pascal Struijk, Jaka Bijol and Rodon, so Bornauw’s hopes of an exit could well hinge on what happens with Doekhi.
