Not many players are expected to leave Leeds this winter.
Daniel Farke already revealed that he wants his group to stay together as he aims to keep Leeds in the Premier League, but the 49ers might have other ideas amid concerns over PSR at Elland Road.
There is also the chance of a fringe player pushing for an exit in search of more regular playing time, and that is exactly what Jack Harrison is now doing according to reports in Spain.
Spanish media claim Jack Harrison is eager to leave Leeds United for Valencia
Matteo Moretto has now told Radio Marca Valencia that the Leeds No.20 is hoping to seal a switch to Spain this winter.
Which player would you be happy for Leeds to sell in January to fund their transfer business? Let us know in the comments… 🤔💰
The likes of Joel Piroe and Willy Gnonto are struggling to force their way into Farke's plans.
The respected journalist said: “There have been new contacts regarding Jack Harrison. The player is waiting for a firm step from Valencia. He prioritises going to Valencia. It’s no longer just a sounding out. There is a negotiation.”
Marca claimed on Monday that Valencia had enquired about Harrison, but Moretto now clearly states that the Spanish outfit have progressed in talks with Leeds, to the point where “a negotiation” is now taking place.
Farke has handed the 29-year-old just one Premier League start this season following his return to Leeds after two seasons on loan at Everton, so you can understand why he may want to leave.
However, Harrison does still have a contract which runs until July 2028.
It puts Leeds in a strong negotiating position, and the 49ers should feel entitled to quote Valencia the £11m fee spent to sign him from Manchester City in July 2021 – at least.
Leeds United could replace Jack Harrison with a player they already own in Largie Ramazani
We are only two days into the winter transfer window, but a lot is happening between Leeds and Valencia.
Spanish news outlet El Desmarque believe Valencia are going to send Largie Ramazani back to Leeds and cancel his loan spell, as Carlos Corberan continues to overlook the Belgian – he has only made eight La Liga appearances this season, all of which have come as a substitute.
Would you integrate Largie Ramazani if his loan is cancelled?
Or would you send him back out on loan…
It remains to be seen what Farke plans to do with the 24-year-old.
However, if Leeds fail to sign a direct replacement for Harrison, Ramazani could well take his place on the bench as a backup option at Elland Road.
