Leeds United News has the latest exclusive information on the club’s next transfer deals after Dominic Calvert-Lewin becomes their eighth summer signing.

Leeds United have made seven summer signings but only one of those has been an attacker, with Lukas Nmecha arriving on a free transfer from the Bundesliga.

Now, the club are looking to bolster their ranks in that area further. Leeds’ first Calvert-Lewin contact occurred over a month ago via a phone call directly to the player.

Then, it became clearer in recent days that Calvert-Lewin was a serious consideration for Leeds. That was instead of Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein then confirmed the details of Leeds’ deal for Calvert-Lewin after the two parties struck an agreement. It’s also been reported that Calvert-Lewin rejected Sunderland in favour of Leeds.

Leeds United in advanced James Justin discussions as second forward eyed

It was reported at one stage of the summer that the former Everton star wanted £150k per week, but the details of how a Leeds and Calvert-Lewin agreement was met have since been confirmed.

Speaking of deals being struck, Leeds United News have learnt of two further potential transfers for Leeds. It’s said that they are hopeful of acquiring both swiftly after Calvert-Lewin’s arrival.

We revealed exclusively that James Justin of Leicester is on Leeds’ radar. The 27-year-old has a wealth of Premier League and Championship experience.

Leeds have advanced discussions with the full-back and a deal is thought to be close to bring the Leicester defender to West Yorkshire. It is not as advanced as Calvert-Lewin but Leeds’ confidence is growing regarding a move.

Leeds want a full-back who can cover both left-back and right-back, which is why Justin ranks highly on their list of options. He also has the added benefit of being homegrown.

The other player Leeds are advancing rapidly in discussions with has not been named by club sources, but a wide forward who can operate as a striker has also been talked up as another versatile option on their shortlist.

Sources at the club declined to confirm nor deny when quizzed on Swiss forward Noah Okafor, with whispers over the AC Milan attacker’s name emerging of late.

Leeds are in search of a powerful and athletic forward for their attack and the 25-year-old is ticking a number of the required boxes, especially as he can be utilised out wide or as a centre-forward.

It’s purely speculation but Okafor is the kind of profile Leeds have looked to sign this summer in both a physical and athletic sense.

Okafor has the ability to be a makeshift number-nine but is best as a left-sided winger. There he is able to get between the lines and he loves to get shots away.

Justin is advancing, but Okafor is perhaps a name to keep an eye on in the coming days.
