After a quiet transfer window, you’d imagine the 49ers are preparing for some big moves in the summer at Leeds United.
Despite not landing any of their targets this winter, their primary target, Cameron Archer wanted the Leeds move, which could see excitement build up until the summer.
This will of course depend on if Leeds secure promotion to the Premier League.
As will be the case for many of the Whites’ options, as all things must be considered.
Another long-term key target for Daniel Farke has now made his feelings clear about a summer move.

Nico Elvedi could end up at Leeds United in the summer
It always seemed likely that Nico Elvedi would force a move from Borussia Monchengladbach to Leeds this January.
As we know this didn’t come to fruition, despite Elvedi being heavily linked to Leeds, but now there is reason to suggest that the Whites are in the driving seat to land the centre-back in the summer.
The print edition of BILD Rheinland (07/02/25) reveals that Glabach are preparing for an overhaul in defence which could see Elvedi depart the German club when the summer window opens.
It then goes on to say that Elvedi wanted to head to England about 18 months ago and has harboured intentions of a move since then.
It’s stated the summer of 2025 could be the ‘last chance to fulfil his dream’ of playing in the Premier League.
How much Leeds would have to pay to land Elvedi
Farke has a connection with Elvedi after the Swiss defender played under the Leeds boss whilst manager of Gladbach.
He’s clearly a keen admirer of the 28-year-old as Farke praises Elvedi highly as he would certainly find his place at Elland Road.
It hasn’t been revealed how much the 49ers plan to spend, but if Elvedi is still on their radar come June, a release clause of £8.2m is in Elvedi’s contract.
It seems reasonable, as the Swiss is a top-level Bundesliga centre-back, and for Leeds fans, this is definitely one to keep an eye on.
