Leeds United could now sell 30-year-old player before the summer, club want quick deal

Leeds United appear unlikely to be welcoming back many, if any of their loan contingent in the summer.

Following relegation from the Premier League last May, Leeds lost a number of first team players to loan moves and it is said regardless of the division they find themselves in next season, they won’t be returning.

Robin Koch is so far the only player from that group to have agreed a permanent move elsewhere, while there is interest in Luis Sinisterra, Marc Roca, Max Wober and Jack Harrison for the same.

However, the next player Leeds look set to offload off their books forever is Diego Llorente, with reports from Italy earlier this week suggesting Roma want to buy him, then sell straight away.

And a new update from Tutto Mercato Web has emerged in recent hours regarding the timeframe Roma wish to have a deal done by.

Roma want Llorente ASAP

They report Roma are keen to sort out a permanent move ‘as soon as possible’ to anticipate the competition that is expected to arrive for the 30-year-old.

It is said Llorente already has a number of suitors but Roma want to get him signed swiftly so they can then decide whether to sell on for profit, or keep him at the club.

Llorente has been a regular at Roma this season since joining on loan for a second time, starting 20 matches in Serie A, including all three under new manager Daniele De Rossi.

At one point in January it had actually looked like Llorente’s loan spell at Roma would be cut short, with Paris Saint Germain having been keen on bringing him to France on a permanent deal.

However, that deal never materialised and Llorente remained on loan at Roma, but that might not be for much longer with the noises coming out of Italy.
