30-year-old Leeds United player is now ‘pushing’ to join a new club, Whites are open to a deal

Robin Koch became the first of Leeds United’s loan contingent to secure a permanent exit and it appears as though another is not far behind.

Koch put pen-to-paper on a four-year-deal at Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this week having been able to speak to clubs over a permanent transfer with his contract at Leeds expiring in the summer.

The 27-year-old has impressed during the first half of the season at the Bundesliga side, and so they were keen to get him signed up as soon as possible.

And one of Koch’s former centre-back partners Diego Llorente could be about to follow him out of the permanent exit door. It was reported earlier this week that PSG are interested in signing him this month, and there is now a new development.

According to Foot Mercato, Llorente’s representatives have asked AS Roma if his loan can be cut short, in order to provide him with the opportunity to move to Paris.

It is also said that Leeds are ‘not opposed’ to these latest developments, and therefore would be happy to accommodate Llorente in securing a permanent transfer elsewhere.

Despite having been a regular starter under Jose Mourinho this season, Roma are also not against ending his loan early, providing they are able to bring in a suitable replacement this month.

It is said that PSG could offer a fee higher than the clause fee in Roma’s deal in order to make the deal happen in this transfer window, as they eye a replacement for the injured Milan Skriniar.

Given that Leeds are reportedly unlikely to welcome back any of their loan army regardless of whether they get promoted this season, this is really good, if unexpected news at Elland Road.

It will be interesting to see how this Llorente deal progresses over the next few days, but it does sound like all parties are willing to make it happen.
