Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche says Leeds United loanee Robin Koch has helped transform them defensively this season.
Krösche was speaking in an interview with Bild where he hailed the impact of Koch, as well as fellow new signing Willian Pacho have been huge to their improvement at the back this season.
Koch was one of eight members of Leeds‘ first team squad of last year to leave on loan in the summer following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
Each of them have had varying degrees of success at their new clubs but Koch and Marc Roca certainly appear to have made the strongest starts to the season.
Koch has been playing at the centre of a back three for a Frankfurt side which has the best defensive record in the Bundesliga after the opening five matches.

Frankfurt have conceded just three goals so far this term and sporting director Krösche has attributed that success down to Koch and Pacho.
He said: “We are doing very well defensively. It’s unbelievable how stable Pacho is and how Robin has fit in.”
There aren’t many of Leeds’ eight loanees who have permanent options at their new club but it would take a real turn of events if Koch was not to end up at Frankfurt.
Koch is out of contract at Leeds next summer and there appears to be absolutely no chance of him signing a new deal, and he has already spoken of how happy he is back in Germany.
It is a poor piece of business from the previous regime not to get anything back on the £13 million that was roughly paid for him in 2020.
