Daniel Peretz has emerged as a goalkeeper target for Leeds United in recent days.
The plan across the window will no doubt be to replace Illan Meslier after a series of shocking errors.
It became clear that Meslier almost cost Daniel Farke’s job, so the Leeds boss had no other choice but to drop the Frenchman.
Now, with the search on for a new number one, Daniel Peretz has emerged on Leeds’ radar.
Peretz is in talks with Leeds, and Thomas Tuchel has given his thoughts on the goalkeeper in the past, which will be information that Whites fans will want to know.

After six seasons of having a topsy-turvy goalkeeper like Meslier, Farke will need someone he can rely on.
Peretz can be the perfect man for the job, but his lack of game time at Bayern Munich could bring concern.
The Israeli has made just seven starts during his time in Germany, but after Farke axed Meslier, it seems like he’d be willing to take the risk, and the risk clearly comes with good reason.
Speaking in September 2023 in a pre-match press conference, England manager and former Bayern boss Tuchel spoke on the 24-year-old about what his attitude has been like as a number two.
“Because I worked abroad, I’m used to things where the second-choice goalkeeper gets a chance in the cup,” Tuchel said.
“That’s important for Daniel. His behavior is top. Our whole goalkeeping team is a super unit that pushes each other.”

Tuchel’s comments give Farke every reason to replace Meslier at Leeds
The timing seems right for the Whites to finally make a change in their number one position, and what better time than the start of the Premier League season.
Meslier has proven time and time again he can’t be trusted in the net, and after he was dropped following a mistake in the 2-2 draw with Swansea City, Meslier was angry, but it’s not a surprise, and it should arguably have happened earlier after his howler at Sunderland.
Despite this, he responded well behind the scenes and supported the club till Leeds won the league.
But it doesn’t look like he’ll be staying around for long.
With Peretz showing a strong attitude, it proves he won’t be a personality problem at Leeds, whereas the Frenchman is upset and has expressed he will leave if he is replaced, as Meslier doesn’t want to be a backup.
It looks set in stone for Meslier to leave Yorkshire this summer, and Peretz is ticking all the right boxes to come in as his successor.
