Scott Parker set to start incredible domino effect, it results in Leeds United signing £10m player

Leeds United have the chance to pounce on a player who will be a priority in Daniel Farke’s plans.

Plenty of goings-on elsewhere could have a major effect on how Leeds go about their business this summer.

The Whites have seemingly gone all in this window, and the hope is that two new arrivals are through the door before July.

This will give Farke’s side the step up they need to compete in the Premier League, as Jaka Bijol’s £18.7m move is due any moment.

But Scott Parker has just done something that has opened the doors to the third arrival of this window, and it makes perfect sense.

Scott Parker set to start domino effect which benefits Leeds United

Of course, Burnley and Leeds will be competing against each other once again next season, but there is clear respect between the two sides.

Parker has praised Leeds’ tactical setup, suggesting Farke creates ‘really exciting’ football, and the Whites will hope the same continues next season.

Time will tell if both teams can stay up, but the transfer window is beginning to heat up with a new domino effect taking place.

This is after journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed that Burnley are set to sign goalkeeper Max Weiss from Karlsruher.

This ultimately means that James Trafford’s sale to Newcastle United this summer will be all but confirmed, as Fabrizio Romano made it clear that negotiations are firmly underway, but how does it benefit Leeds?

Well, due to Newcastle bringing in Trafford, this can now open the door for Leeds target Nick Pope to leave the club.

Pope has been in talks with Leeds, and with the young Burnley keeper set to join, it ultimately means the 33-year-old will be replaced, which creates the perfect opportunity to join Leeds and ends an incredible domino effect between the three Premier League sides

How much Pope will cost with Leeds desperate for a keeper

The most obvious position this summer is a new keeper coming to Elland Road.

After Illan Meslier has struggled to retain his number one spot, it’s no surprise Farke is looking to move on, as the Frenchman made enough errors to suggest he can’t be relied upon.

A shot-stopper such as Pope coming in brings experience and a reliable option for Leeds in what is set to be a real challenge for Farke.

A price tag hasn’t been set just yet, but judging by Pope’s £10m arrival at St. James’ Park, it should be in this vicinity.

Eddie Howe wants to keep Pope, but the 33-year-old might see sense in a starting position as opposed to being a back-up to Trafford.

These signings happening make sense for all parties, and it looks as though Leeds can tick off another ‘priority’ position, as the Whites could soon become desperate in signing a number one.
