Predicted Leeds United XI to face Watford at Elland Road as Daniel Farke makes one change in attack

Daniel Farke is now all of a sudden spoilt for choice when it comes to options in his Leeds United attack.

The Whites host Watford at Elland Road this evening looking to make it back-to-back home wins following their impressive 2-0 victory over Sheffield United on Friday night.

Farke has no fresh injury concerns to contend with heading into the match but must consider whether to rotate with a match at Bristol City this weekend also to consider.

Manor Solomon and Dan James both returned to action against the Blades, while Mateo Joseph‘s late goal will also have him eyeing a recall for this one.

Here is our predicted XI for the match.

Goalkeeper

Illan Meslier could not have asked for a better game after his error at Sunderland as he did not have a single save to make against Sheffield United. He keeps his place.

Defence

Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon and Junior Firpo are all just one booking away from a one-match ban but for as long as they are available, should be handed starts.

Those three will be joined by Pascal Struijk for the 11th league match in a row, with the Dutchman finally ending Leeds’ wait for a goal from a corner on Friday.

Midfield

Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell took all the headlines for their displays last time out and of course, continue in midfield together for the third successive match.

Farke is hopeful a free agent will arrive in the next few days and that could well be Josuha Guilavogui, but that won’t be done in time for tonight.

Attack

Due to the amount of options at his disposal, it may not be a bad idea for Farke to rotate a little bit in the final third.

Wilfried Gnonto is fine despite a shoulder knock against the Blades, and should start alongside Largie Ramazani out wide, who continues to get better and better.

Understandably, Brenden Aaronson looked a little tired after his exploits with USA and so perhaps a place on the bench could be wise this evening.

Joseph should be the man who comes in, with Joel Piroe starting a little deeper. This is the sort of home game Leeds should get away with starting Piroe in that position.
