If Leeds United fans had their way, Daniel Farke will have already been removed as manager. The German is under intense pressure, and one manager that Joe Rodon knows well should be considered.
LeedsUnited.News understands that the 49ers are ‘constantly assessing’ Farke’s position as Leeds boss but are keen to avoid making any sudden decisions. However, the 49ers are aware of fans being restless.
The pressure is mounting on Daniel Farke… should Leeds United sack him?⌛
While Farke had sympathy from fans after Leeds failed to bring in the required firepower, his in-game decision-making and reactive approach to substitutions has seen that faith in the manager disappear.
Fans want a change, but there are two issues with that. The first being, who would want to come in when Leeds next face Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool? The other, is who is actually available to replace Farke?

Leeds should consider Steve Cooper if they sack Daniel Farke
Steve Cooper might not be the most exciting of appointments, but the forward-thinking former Swansea and Nottingham Forest manager has impressed when given the chance in the Premier League.
Cooper was sacked by Leicester a year ago, despite sitting above the relegation zone after 12 games. The former England U21 man was sacked by Forest after gaining promotion, having lost five of six games.
Pundits and journalists pile the pressure on Daniel Farke…
There is a feeling that while Cooper has had two cracks at Premier League management, both his sackings have been unfair. In 67 Premier League games, Cooper has won 14 times and has better stats than Farke.
At the moment, Cooper is impressing in Denmark with Brondby, where he has won seven of 11 matches in charge. But should the chance to manage in the Premier League come about, he’d surely jump at it.
| Name | PL clubs | PL games | W-D-L | Points | PPG |
| Steve Cooper | Leicester Forest | 67 | 14-20-33 | 62 | 0.93 |
| Daniel Farke | Leeds Norwich | 61 | 9-10-42 | 37 | 0.61 |
Joe Rodon and Dan James’ connection to Steve Cooper
Rodon starred for Swansea during the 2019-20 season, Cooper’s first of two years as Swansea manager. It earned him a move to Tottenham, while Leeds tried to sign Dan James from Cooper’s Swansea in 2019.
Cooper once described Rodon as the best centre-back in the Championship before his move to Spurs and clearly, the manager helped get Rodon’s career off and running. He played to James’ strengths, as well.

James would also leave that summer, joining Man United after coming within an inch of a Leeds move in January 2019. Cooper got the best out of Rodon and James at Swansea, surely they’d love him at Leeds.
Whether Cooper would be willing to leave Danish side Brondby after a couple of months in charge remains to be seen, but the chance to work with James and Rodon again will surely appeal to Cooper.
