Leeds United are yet to confirm their first signing of the summer window, but it is widely expected to be the addition of Harry Wilson. Right now, Leeds are working on a second summer addition.
Wales star Wilson has put pen to paper on a four-year deal after his contract at Fulham expired. Wilson has finally joined Leeds after Fulham pulled the plug on a move to Elland Road on deadline day in 2025.
How Leeds could line-up in 2026-27 with four new arrivals 👀
Suzuki, Charles, Brandt and Wilson all linked.
Wilson is expected to be announced as Leeds’ first summer signing in due course. The reason he is yet to be announced is not yet known, but any doubt regarding Wilson’s arrival has been quickly downplayed.
Meanwhile, Leeds are pushing for a second addition. A second offer for Shea Charles has been turned down, with Leeds bidding £23m plus add-ons for the midfielder. Lloyd Kelly is also a target for Leeds.
New Zion Suzuki reports make him a bigger coup than Wilson
Another player strongly linked with Leeds is Ao Tanaka’s Japan teammate Zion Suzuki. The Parma star has enjoyed a brilliant World Cup campaign, even if Japan might have hoped to further than the round of 32.

Ultimately, Japan were beaten by a last-minute goal from Brazil. Now able to enjoy a break, Suzuki is still set for a busy summer. A move away from Parma is expected after the Italian side signed a replacement.
After initial reports linking Leeds with a move for Suzuki, Japanese media have since claimed that a deal between Leeds and Parma is done. But the latest reports make a move for Suzuki a huge coup.
That is because Japanese outlet Football Tribe Japan report that Man United made Suzuki an offer. But Leeds have convinced Suzuki to turn that offer down, with the lure of being first choice at Elland Road.
The only ever player to join Leeds from Parma was a flop
Sources in England have downplayed a move to Elland Road from Suzuki. While he remains a target for Leeds, it is not claimed to be so far down the line as reports in Japan or Italy are currently reporting.
Agree or disagree – Lucas Perri was a waste of money at £15.6m 😤
What would you have paid for Perri?
Nevertheless, Leeds do need to sort their goalkeepers out. If they do scour the market, Suzuki is likely to be a target. If Suzuki does join, he will hope to do better than the only other player to make the move.
Tomas Brolin remains an iconic part of Leeds’ history for such a dismal spell at Elland Road. Signed with huge hype from Parma in 1995, the Swede failed to get going despite scoring his first goal with his face.
No other player has made the jump from Parma to Yorkshire, but Suzuki could be the second with the bar set low by Brolin. Should Leeds sign Suzuki, a deal is expected to cost £26m – Leeds’ third biggest signing.
