Leeds United made a swift return to winning ways after the defeat at Millwall with a 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers.
The Whites certainly weren’t at their best at Elland Road but got the job done to pounce on dropped points from Sunderland at the top of that able.
Jayden Bogle was Leeds’ best attacking outlet throughout and opened the scoring in the first half after a goal mouth scramble to net his second for the club.
It wasn’t until the 95th minute that Leeds finally put the game to bed as Joel Piroe coolly netted his sixth of the season and fourth as a substitute.
Despite the win, there were certainly some murmurs of discontent around Elland Road in the second half as Leeds struggled to put a really poor side to bed.

Sam Byram not the answer to Leeds’ Junior Firpo issue
Just six hours before kick-off Leeds were rocked by the news of Junior Firpo receiving an immediate three-match ban after an incident at Millwall.
As such, Sam Byram was brought back into the starting line-up for his third start in four, again on the left side of defence.
However, unfortunately just like at Bristol City, Leeds were seriously weakened in attack by his presence due to his constant tendency to cut inside.
With both him and Manor Solomon on that side, Leeds just didn’t have any width and it poses the question as to what Daniel Farke will do after the international break.
Byram was caught offside three times, lost possession on 19 occasions and didn’t complete a single cross.
And although it was on the wing, Isaac Schmidt made a real difference with his quality on the ball in his brief cameo from the bench, with his pass the one to send Piroe in on goal and finish the game.
