Leeds United kick start a run of two tough away matches in four days at Norwich City.

Daniel Farke will be returning to his old club for the third time as Leeds manager and will be hoping to avoid defeat like in each of their last two meetings.

With Sunderland also to come on Friday night, the next few days are certainly going to pose a huge challenge to Leeds’ squad, which is already being hampered by injuries.

Ethan Ampadu is set to miss the next 10 weeks for Leeds due to a knee problem, while Manor Solomon, Dan James, Max Wober and Isaac Schmidt are also out.

As such, rotation is going to be difficult for Farke and so the XI that started the second half against Coventry City, is likely to remain the same for both upcoming matches.

Jayden Bogle faces biggest Leeds test yet vs Norwich

Jayden Bogle was criticised for his first few performances at Leeds but has shown plenty of signs in the last two matches as to why he was bought from Sheffield United for £5 million.

Bogle built on his impressive display at Cardiff with his best yet against Coventry City on Saturday, even netting his first goal for the club.

With Coventry offering very little in attack, Bogle had the license to constantly get forward and so was a real threat down that right-hand-side all day.

However, it is going the other way where Bogle is going to be tested at Carrow Road, and it may just be his toughest yet.

Bogle will be directly up against Norwich dangerman Borja Sainz, who enters tonight’s match full of confidence after his hattrick at Derby County on Saturday.

Sainz already has six goals in seven league appearances this season and is currently 11th for the most number of successful dribbles per match across the entire division.

Archie Gray was able to shut him down quite well in the meetings last season but clearly Sainz is playing with a new level of confidence this term, which Bogle has to be aware of.

It will be interesting to see if knowing what Sainz can offer in attack will have any impact on how often Bogle tries to get forward for Leeds.

Where Leeds can hurt Norwich at Carrow Road

Having got the better of David Wagner in three of the four meetings last season, Farke will be coming up against a new Norwich manager for the first time, in Johannes Hoff Thorup.

Thorup was full of praise for Farke in his pre-match press conference but has a style of play that Leeds can very much take advantage of.

Norwich like to task risks in possession at the back under Thorup and that really could play into Leeds’ hands, as both Mateo Joseph and Brenden Aaronson are excellent pressers.

Joseph and Aaronson will close down defenders all day long and if they can find the right trigger to do so, will be able to win the ball high up the pitch.

It is then up to Leeds’ attackers to be clinical when they get opportunties, something which Farke has been critical of this season.
