Wilfried Gnonto has laughed off reports he is unhappy with his current situation at Leeds United.
Gnonto was responding to an Instagram post which suggested the 20-year-old would be looking to leave Leeds in January as he seeks regular football and a place in Italy’s squad for next summer’s EUROs.
Since coming back from injury, Gnonto has started just one of the last four matches, which came in Leeds’ only defeat during that period at Stoke City.
He has found it difficult to dislodge Crysencio Summerville and Dan James from their spots on the wings, who have both been in excellent form over the last few weeks.
As such, reports have circulated from Italy that Gnonto is now ‘ready to say goodbye’ to Leeds, though the young Italian has been quick to rubbish those reports.
Gnonto laughs off Leeds exit reports
In the comments of a post suggesting Gnonto is set to ask for a Leeds exit, he simply responded with one laughing face emoji, as he looks to put reports to bed.
This is a good move from Gnonto as speculation has began to really ramp up over the last week or so and this should therefore get Leeds fans on his side, and ease any worries he could leave.

Angus Kinnear insisted back in September that Gnonto is now fully focused on Leeds after a little ‘wobble’ during the transfer window that saw him refuse to play and hand in a transfer request.
With just under two months left until the transfer window opens, this sort of speculation is only likely to unsettle the squad and so it is good to see Gnonto ensuring that does not happen.
Now it is time for every supporter to get behind him as he could not have been any more emphatic in denying that is not unhappy at Elland Road.
