There is likely to be a great atmosphere at Elland Road on Monday evening when Leeds United host Bristol City at Elland Road- and Patrick Bamford has done his utmost to bring the party.

Leeds edged closer towards promotion on Monday when The Whites smashed Stoke City to win 6-0, but a place in the Premier League had not been confirmed until later that evening when Sheffield United lost.

So, Monday night’s clash is the first time Leeds will take to the pitch since promotion was confirmed and the party afterwards which saw the Leeds players celebrate from inside the gates at Elland Road.

From Bamford screaming obscenities about Chris Wilder, to Willy Gnonto running around an empty Elland Road pitch and scoring goals with the lights off. Bamford has made a very generous cash gesture.

Patrick Bamford puts £5000 behind the Peacock bar for tonight

The one-time England star might be given a start by Daniel Farke on Monday night with promotion now secured. It is unclear if Farke will make changes now promotion is secured, or will stick with his best side.

Indeed, Leeds will need to win tonight and then match Burnley’s result on the weekend when The Whites go to Plymouth. They face an incredibly tough test against a play-off chasing side in Bristol City.

But the Peacock has confirmed on their Facebook page that Bamford has generously put £5000 behind the bar for fans to get a free first drink ahead of the clash against Liam Manning’s men on Monday night.

How Daniel Farke and Leeds have fared against Bristol City…

Both Farke and Leeds have enjoyed recent matches against The Robins. Farke has faced Manning’s side on nine occasions throughout his career, with the German gaffer clocking up six wins and three draws.

Farke remains winless against Bristol City, while Leeds have lost just once in the previous 19 matches the two sides have played. The two teams have played 19 times after a 13-year gap between 1997 and 2010.

Leeds will be expected to win on Monday night but it remains to be seen what kind of Leeds will turn up. A side that are already on holiday with promotion secured, or a team battling to secure the league title.
