Daniel Farke is set to learn whether he has a future at Leeds United on Monday with Paraag Marathe set to fly in and be present at Elland Road, as The Whites host Bristol City.

Monday night could well be Farke’s last home game for Leeds as The Whites host Bristol City, with two wins required to win the Championship title. Leeds face Bristol City, and then go to Plymouth on May 3.

There has been talk that Farke could be sacked by The 49ers with his Premier League record coming in for scrutiny. But, Farke has repeatedly made it clear that the situation at Norwich was completely different.

Having guided Leeds to promotion, the belief and normal convention is that Farke would remain in the hotseat for the 2025-26 Premier League campaign. Marathe is now set to fly to Leeds ahead of tonight.

What Marathe wants to hear from Farke in Leeds United talks

Despite doing what he was tasked to do since joining Leeds in 2023, Farke will now have to convince Marathe in talks about his Premier League approach. That is according to a report from The Guardian.

The 49ers are not messing around, either. According to the report, they have already sounded out the possibility of replacing Farke with Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Roger Schmidt or even Davide Ancelotti.

Marathe is said to be flying in to hold talks with Farke and wants to know how Farke intends to keep Leeds in the Premier League. There are concerns among 49ers Enterprises investors over his suitability.

Talk over Daniel Farke future is ridiculous, he deserves a chance

When Leeds hired Farke in the summer of 2023, they brought him in because of his Championship record. They looked past his record in the Premier League and clearly, understood that he had no Norwich cash.

Indeed, Farke was forced to rely on youngsters and players without Premier League experience. With this Leeds squad, it is entirely different – Phil Hay says The 49ers and RedBull give Leeds a real fighting chance.

He deserves to stay and start the season in the Premier League. Alan Brazil says Farke should get four or five games to prove himself in the top flight and he’s right, it would be incredibly harsh to get rid now.
