Benjamin Bloom thinks Leeds will beat Burnley on Monday night as Daniel Farke will be out for revenge.

Leeds lost 1-0 to Burnley in the reverse fixture at Elland Road as the match seemed pivotal for promotion to the Premier League.

Farke spoke after the encounter and made one thing clear about the Championship as round two is set to be a cracker.

What Daniel Farke said after Leeds lost to Burnley earlier this season

Luca Koleosho’s goal separated the two sides last time as Burnley staked an early claim for promotion favourites this season.

Manor Solomon slipped for Burnley to score 18 minutes into the game back in September as Farke criticised Solomon for his mistake.

No doubt the winger has come on leaps and bounds since then, but what the Leeds boss said after the game may give the Whites some aspiration.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Farke said: “After a loss you’re not allowed to speak about this but the game itself, not the result, encouraged me even more that we’ll play a good season.

“If you can play that dominant, make them just defend more or less the whole game then you normally have a good set-up to play a good season.

“I know it’s a marathon this league, a third win in a row would have made our life easier to be in a leading position rather than a chasing position. We have to accept we have to chase.”

Farke’s statement has been proven right for Leeds

Chasing is exactly what Leeds have done, and they’ve done it brilliantly to leapfrog Burnley.

The Leeds manager has been proven exactly right which he deserves praise for, as the performance meant more than the result at the time.

Farke also spoke about having a third win in a row making life easier, and they can do that with victory at Turf Moor on Monday, separating them from the Clarets by six points.

In a fixture with a huge amount of pressure, Joe Rodon has sent a warning to Burnley as this crucial game is taking the headlines.
