The extent of Dan James’ Leeds United injury has been revealed by Craig Bellamy, following the winger’s inclusion in the Wales squad.
Leeds United have already had numerous injuries this season, with Lucas Perri and Willy Gnonto the current players missing out for Daniel Farke.
Dan James was then said to have an injury concern from Leeds training, according to Adam Pope. It was reported as being fairly severe and a potential lengthy absence.
However, following that reveal, James was an inclusion in Bellamy’s Wales squad today. That surprised many after James was an unused substitute for Leeds against Bournemouth.

Craig Bellamy’s injury update on Leeds United winger Dan James
James is lightning-quick and the sort of profile who is a serious threat for both club and country. The timing of the issue comes just weeks after James recovered from an injury against Fulham recently.
James’ start to the season has been slow so far and the latest news threatens to make his stop-start beginning even more of an issue.
Competition at Leeds out wide now includes new signing Noah Okafor, returning loanee Jack Harrison, a new role for Brenden Aaronson, as well as Gnonto still being a part of the picture.
During his Welsh squad announcement for the upcoming internationals, Bellamy was asked if he had a knee injury. He responded: “That’s the first I’ve heard of a knee injury. He has an ankle problem. We’ll wait and see.
“Nothing’s been confirmed yet. If it’s good, brilliant. But if it isn’t, then we adapt. We’re just waiting for confirmation, really. It’s still too early by the time we go through this now. So, we’ll wait and see on that one.”
