Leeds United’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth was a game full of positives, with Jayden Bogle, Harry Gray, and Largie Ramazani particularly impressed with one individual.

Leeds United are sat on eight points from their six league games, following Joe Rodon and Sean Longstaff securing the point against the Cherries on Saturday. Spurs are set to face Leeds at Elland Road next.

Some of the Leeds players were outstanding against Bournemouth, with Longstaff, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Rodon, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin perhaps stealing the show the most of all.

Daniel Farke knows Leeds must improve post-Bournemouth, though, with yet another game passing which saw Leeds drop points late on and into added time.

Leeds United’s Joe Rodon praised by Jayden Bogle and Largie Ramazani

Last season, Leeds did not lose a single game in the 90th minute or later, with Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, Hull City, and Swansea City all securing draws late on in the campaign.

Their solidity was based on a strong defensive foundation, which Ethan Ampadu, Pascal Struijk, and Rodon were crucial to. Already this season, we have seen more evidence statistically that Struijk and Rodon complement each other well for Leeds.

Rodon was vital at the other end on Saturday and Jermaine Beckford believes Rodon should score more regularly for someone who is 6’4″ and so difficult to stop in the air.

In fact Rodon’s goal against Bournemouth set new records for the centre-back. It’s part of the reason why teammates have praised him since full-time at home to Bournemouth.

Rodon’s Instagram said: “We keep moving @leedsunited 🤍🟡🔵”

Largie Ramazani responded: “😍🥲 my boy”

Harry Gray said “Bagsman”, while Jayden Bogle praised his right-sided defensive partner with “Beast!”

Joe Rodon praises fellow goalscorer Sean Longstaff

Speaking via The Yorkshire Evening Post, Rodon praised Longstaff. He said: “I can’t praise Sean enough.

“He’s been absolutely outstanding and he’s gonna be a key figure for us going forward. You saw again today, he’s everywhere.

“Sean brings that calmness, experience and he knows where to be in the moments of the game. What a brilliant finish. I’m very happy for him and hopefully there’s many more to come.”

The duo aren’t renowned for goals, but they both came up with big moments on Saturday. Leeds will hope there are more to come this season.
