Leeds United’s promotion back to the Premier League has caught the eye of the footballing world given the size of the club, as The Whites go up as Champions of England’s second tier.
Monday saw the Leeds squad parade through the town centre with Ethan Ampadu front and centre, signing songs and committing a few faux pas. Ampadu even hinted Junior Firpo is set to join Real Betis.
Dan James was rather intoxicated once again and the likes of Firpo, Jayden Bogle, Patrick Bamford and Largie Ramazani were seen continuing the party into the early hours of Tuesday morning in Leeds.
A brilliant fortnight for Leeds, in which Paraag Marathe has also confirmed Daniel Farke will remain in charge ahead of Leeds’ bid to survive relegation. However, another elder member of the side will leave.
Josuha Guilavogui signs off at Leeds United in style
One of three players out of contract at Elland Road this summer, France international Josuha Guilavogui is ‘almost certainly’ set to leave Leeds. It comes after Guilavogui broke Vinnie Jones’ unbeaten record.
Taking to Instagram following Saturday’s injury-time win over Plymouth to clinch the Championship title, Guilavogui posted a message to Leeds fans. His excellent social media messages have become a theme.
He said: “It is spoken. It is written. It is done. History”, alongside a picture of himself wearing a signed Leeds shirt and the Championship trophy as the squad travelled back from the south coast on Saturday.
Superstar Victor Osimhen sends message to Josuha Guilavogui
With Guilavogui now 34 and having played in France, Germany and now England, the midfielder is well-like and well-travelled. He has picked up plenty of companions along the way during his super career.
One of those is striker sensation Victor Osimhen, having spent time together at German side Wolfsburg. Osimhen broke in at Wolfsburg before going on to become one of Europe’s best centre-forwards.
Currently on loan at enemies Galatasaray from Napoli after a transfer saga involving Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli, England star Ivan Toney and parent club Napoli – Osimhen sent Guilavogui a message on his post.
Guilavogui is now set to leave Leeds with two other contracts set to expire in the form of Junior Firpo and Sam Byram. Reports say Byram is also set to leave Leeds as a free agent, rather than sign a new contract.
