Ethan Ampadu will be waking up on Tuesday morning with a hangover from hell after his antics during Leeds United’s open-top bus parade on Monday afternoon.
The Leeds skipper was front and centre during the celebrations, which saw more than 150,000 supporters pile their way onto West Yorkshire’s streets to watch their Leeds heroes partying on three open-top buses.
The partying has been relentless at Leeds over the last fortnight and having beaten Plymouth in injury time on the final day of the season, the Leeds squad has enjoyed a boozy couple of days with the trophy.
Ampadu was front and centre of that. Whether it be urging Sam Byram to sign a new two-year deal or hinting that Junior Firpo is set for Real Betis, Ampadu was spilling the beans with microphone in hand.

The parade finished when the Leeds players returned to Elland Road, with the squad and Daniel Farke now set to go on holiday and have a break before pre-season ahead of the Premier League next term.
Ampadu posted a picture of himself on the Elland Road turf following the parade, which also saw the likes of Junior Firpo, Jayden Bogle, Largie Ramazani and Patrick Bamford speaking to the microphone at times.
The Leeds skipper uploaded an image of him lying on the Elland Road turf following the parade, and he underlined his delight to the Leeds supporters: “I’m not going to lie. That parade. Best day of my life.”

Not just chants for Byram or Firpo, but Ampadu also had a new song for Bogle. He is one of a few players that is expected to retain his place in the starting line-up next season, as Leeds prepare for the top tier.
Ampadu sang: “There’s a star man, playing on the right. His name is Jayden Bogle and he’s f**ing dynamite.” But the focus following the parade immediately switches to next season, and this summer.
For the time being however, some well-earned rest ahead of the fight for survival in 2026-26. Leeds will be expected to confirm a retained list in due course, and a schedule during pre-season this summer.
