It was a party at Elland Road on Monday night as Leeds United celebrated confirming promotion with a massive 4-0 victory over fifth-placed Bristol City, returning to the top of the table.

Willy Gnonto and Ao Tanaka scored goals for Leeds before Largie Ramazani came off the bench to score a brace as a substitute. A wonderful performance, followed by a wonderful celebration at Elland Road.

Leeds are back in the Premier League and with Paraag Marathe watching after the club’s chairman had jetted in on Monday, Leeds fans made it clear they want Daniel Farke to stay after reports over his future.

For some in this Leeds side, it was their last outing at Elland Road. Phil Hay says Illan Meslier is “done” at Leeds, while Graham Smyth has previously said Patrick Bamford will surely leave Leeds this summer.

Beren Cross says midfielder will ‘almost certainly’ leave Leeds

As things stand, five of the current squad will automatically leave Leeds in the summer. Manor Solomon is expected to join permanently after promotion, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet with Tottenham.

Joe Rothwell’s future is in doubt. In terms of Leeds contracts expiring, Sam Byram replaced Junior Firpo late on but Daniel Farke made it clear that was not designed to be a farewell to the Leeds United support.

However, there is one player that will “almost certainly” leave Leeds this summer at the end of his deal. The Athletic’s Beren Cross said on X that Josuha Guilavogui is expected to leave when his contract expires.

He reported: “Guilavogui is coming on in what is almost certainly his final appearance at Elland Road.”

Josuha Guilavogui makes history, first-ever Leeds player to do so

When Vinnie Jones joined Leeds, the enigmatic hardman went unbeaten in his first 15 league games. In the 1-0 win over Oxford, Guilavogui came off the bench for a 15th league game – staying unbeaten.

All 15 of his appearances for Leeds had come as a sub. On Monday, Guilavogui broke Jones’ record and became the first-ever Leeds player to go unbeaten in his first 16 league games after joining the club.

Leeds will miss Guilavogui, not because of his football ability but because of his personality and the effect he has had off the pitch. Loved by Willy Gnonto, Isaac Schmidt and more, he will need to be replaced.
