Charlie Cresswell continues to be linked with the exit door at Leeds United this month as his lack of game time under Daniel Farke goes on – and now, Millwall and Blackburn are eyeing permanent bids.
That is according to a report from The Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon, who reports on his Patreon that Millwall and Blackburn are preparing to make permanent moves for the 21-year-old Leeds centre-back.
Leeds are said to value Cresswell in the region of £4m. But, that both sides are hoping to get a deal for a cheaper fee, with Leeds said to be open to a smaller initial fee – but one that includes add-ons for him.
Despite injuries to Pascal Struijk and Liam Cooper, Cresswell was left out of the Leeds side completely on Saturday as the Whites eased past Cardiff to win 3-0. He’s been left out in 14 of the last 17 games.
Farke was asked about Cresswell last week, stating the centre-back needs to change his attitude if he is to break into the squad. Both Cresswell, and his Dad – Richard Cresswell – have posted on social media.

But Farke remains unfazed, combining Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon in central defence on Saturday as Leeds kept another clean sheet – securing a third consecutive 3-0 win. The start of a promising run.
Nixon reports that Millwall are not renowned for spending big but of course, Cresswell impressed last season on loan at The Den. Blackburn are looking to ship out one or two players to raise funds for him.
At this point, with the relationship clearly strained between Farke and Cresswell, it might be better for him to go out on loan at least. A permanent deal is a waste of talent, but it it could be what he needs.
