Richard Cresswell has sent a message to Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke about his son Charlie Cresswell.

The former Leeds striker is not happy that Cresswell is not getting playing time at Elland Road at the moment.

So, what has Richard Cresswell said about Leeds United centre-back Charlie Cresswell? Let’s take a look.

Daniel Farke urged to use Charlie Cresswell more at Leeds United

Well, Leeds United central defender Charlie Cresswell is struggling for playing time at the moment, and his father is not happy.

As you can see, Richard Cresswell wants Leeds head coach Daniel Farke to play him at some point.

Richard Cresswell is a former Leeds player. The 46-year-old retired striker was on the books of the West Yorkshire club from 2005 until 2007.

Charlie Cresswell has come through the Leeds youth system and is now part of the first team.

The England Under-21 international central defender has made only one start and just three substitute appearances in the Championship for the Whites this season. He has also played twice in the Carabao Cup for the Whites.

My View: Charlie Cresswell needs to consider his Leeds United future

In my opinion, Charlie Cresswell needs to consider his future at Leeds United in the January transfer window.

I do not see any point in the defender staying at Leeds for the second half of the season and not getting any playing time.

The 21-year-old needs to go out on loan for the second half of the season. I do not think that Leeds should sell him. After all, he is a very good player. Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Southampton, Rangers and Ipswich Town are the clubs who have been linked with the defender.

Leeds are fourth in the Championship table with 48 points from 26 matches, seven points behind second-placed Ipswich Town.
