Charlie Cresswell is open to leaving Leeds United in the January transfer window.
That is according to The Sunday Mirror (print edition, page 72, December 31, 2023), which has named the clubs who are interested in Cresswell.
So, what has been reported about Leeds United and Charlie Cresswell? Let’s take a look.
Charlie Cresswell linked with Leeds United exit
Well, according to The Sunday Mirror (print edition, page 72, December 31, 2023), Charlie Cresswell is ready to leave Leeds United in the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old central defender is “open” to leaving Leeds on loan or “for good”.

The report has claimed that Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Southampton, Rangers and Ipswich Town all are showing interest in the 21-year-old England Under-21 international centre-back.
Cresswell has struggled for playing time under Leeds head coach Daniel Farke this season.
The 21-year-old has made only one start and three substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds this campaign. The youngster has played twice in the Carabao Cup.
My View: Loan deal better for Charlie Cresswell than permanent departure
In my view, Charlie Cresswell should not rush to leave Leeds United for good in the January transfer window.
I believe that the youngster needs to focus on getting away from Elland Road on a loan deal for the second half of the season.
It would work for both Cresswell and Leeds. The defender, who did well against Cardiff City back in August, would get valuable playing time in the coming weeks and months, and the Whites would have a bright prospect on their books for the long term.
Cresswell is under contract at Leeds until the summer of 2027, so there is no need or rush on the part of the West Yorkshire club to sell him now.
Leeds are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 45 points from 25 matches, nine points behind second-placed Ipswich Town.
