Former Premier League manager Tony Pulis has claimed that one key issue at Leeds United could convince the 49ers to part company with Daniel Farke.
Daniel Farke has endured his worst run as Leeds United manager in recent weeks, as the Whites stare down the barrel of a fight against relegation from the Premier League.
The Leeds boss was the target of angry chants from the Elland Road crowd during and after the game against Aston Villa, as the first signs of open dissent emerged.
Now, former Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has warned that the 49ers may be forced into a decision over Farke’s future if the anger among the Leeds fans continues to worsen in the coming weeks.

Tony Pulis warns that Leeds United fans could end Daniel Farke’s reign
Speaking on The Managers podcast alongside fellow former manager Mick McCarthy, Pulis explained why the Leeds crowd could play a key role in determining Farke’s future at Elland Road.
According to Pulis, if the Leeds owners feel like they are beginning to feel the heat from the Elland Road crowd, they could be forced to change their manager.
Pulis said: “I think the argument against Daniel will be that he’s a very, very good Championship manager and has proved himself as a Championship manager, in respect to getting teams promoted.
“What the detractors will say is that he’s had a couple of goes now at surviving, or three goes at surviving in the Premiership, and he’s not been successful doing it. So, he’s got to get over that hurdle. Will he be given the opportunity and the chance, and the time?
“My big worry there is the supporters. I think if the supporters go against you and then they start putting pressure on the manager, then the players, and it affects the players, and then the board of directors, as soon as they turn it on to them, then usually you get a change.”

Manchester City attack poses a daunting threat for Leeds United
With murmurings of discontent at Leeds beginning to gain momentum, the last thing Farke needs is a trip to the Etihad Stadium, as he looks to arrest his side’s slide.
Farke called out Leeds’ defensive issues after the game against Villa, and things will not get any easier as Leeds prepare to face one of the Premier League’s best attacking sides.

Manchester City in the 25/26 Premier League season, after 12 games:
| Metric | Total | PL Rank |
| Goals | 24 | =1st |
| Expected Goals | 22 | 2nd |
| Shots on Target Per Match | 5.1 | 3rd |
| Big Chances | 37 | 2nd |
| Touches in Opposition Box | 399 | 2nd |
City are the joint-highest scorers in the Premier League and, according to the data from FotMob, Guardiola’s side are among the leaders in several attacking categories.
By contrast, Leeds have conceded 22 goals, the fourth-most in the competition. Therefore, it is imperative that Farke finds a way to tighten up his back line, with a daunting test on the horizon.
