Tony Dorigo was on commentary for Leeds United’s behind-closed-doors win against Hannover.
The Whites picked up a second consecutive comfortable victory of pre-season having followed the 3-0 triumph at Harrogate Town with a 4-1 victory over German opposition.
Hannover certainly represented a step-up in class from Harrogate as they prepare to put together another Bundesliga 2 promotion push, having missed out on the play-offs by a couple of places last season.
But Leeds made them look considerably inferior opposition with Ilia Gruev, Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph (2) all getting on the scoresheet.
Both Hannover boss Stefan Leitl and the German media were left very impressed by what they saw from Leeds, which should bode well given it is only their second friendly of the summer.

Dorigo loves what Jayden Bogle did on Leeds debut
Leeds had a vast amount of impressive performers in the game, with Joseph again one who stole the headlines after his two-goal salvo.
However, it was certainly great to see Brenden Aaronson and Jayden Bogle settling into life at Leeds with ease, as they both managed to register assists.
Aaronson was making his first appearance since opting to return to Leeds, while Bogle came on at half-time for his debut following his move from Sheffield United on Saturday.
Bogle’s assist was immediate justification for Leeds’ reasons to splash £5 million on him, getting to the byline and providing a perfect cross for Joseph to steer home.
As a former full-back himself, Dorigo was ‘absolutely loving’ what he saw from Bogle with his assist, and hopefully that is the sign of things to come.
He told LUTV: “I love that. I am absolutely loving that from Jayden Bogle. He gets to the byline and thinks right, ‘who can I pass it to?’ On the move is Mateo Joseph and that’s a really good finish. Looks simple, but it’s not.”
Dorigo shares what he’s heard on Brenden Aaronson
As mentioned, Bogle wasn’t the only fresh face who caught the eye as Aaronson looked sharp on his first appearance back in a Leeds shirt.
Dorigo believes Aaronson’s addition to the squad could be a real ‘bonus’ this season, having heard that he has put on some muscle in his year away from Elland Road.
“He is a player that has got ability. Absolutely no doubt, great skill, great ability, he’s got a pass in him. His game unravelled with confidence. Things were more physical than he thought, he began to struggle.
“I hear he’s put on six or seven pounds of muscle since being in Germany. This year is the Championship. It’s a great opportunity, brave as well to put things right. He looks like he could really be a bonus for us.”
