Leeds United have travelled to the United States ahead of a pre-season tour which will see Daniel Farke’s side take on Wrexham, Sunderland and Liverpool – and the club have announced their squad.
For the first time in 29 years, the Whites are going across the pond to play pre-season matches. Their first game comes against Hollywood-owned Wrexham in Florida, before facing Sunderland in New Jersey.
Then, Leeds travel to Illinois to take on Liverpool. Leeds then return to Yorkshire to host fellow Red Bull club Leipzig on August 8, but for now, Farke’s men will continue their pre-season training in America.
Leeds have announced a 30-man squad that are due to travel to the States to face Championship and Premier League opposition. It includes a mix of youth and new signings, but there are absentees too.

Noah Okafor
Leeds have explained Okafor’s absence, determining that given Switzerland reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup, the attacker has been given a longer leave of absence. Okafor featured once this summer.
Joe Gelhardt
Some reports say that Gelhardt will be sold for just £3m this summer, yet no clubs have come calling due to his high wages. After a brilliant season on loan at Hull, Gelhardt’s future is in doubt and stays at home.
Jack Harrison
Harrison is back at Leeds after a loan at Fiorentina, where he still has two years remaining on the long-term deal he signed in 2023. Reports suggest a move to New England, but his Leeds future looks over.
Mateo Joseph
Spain U21 striker Joseph is likely to have been made available for a transfer this summer after a poor loan at Mallorca, only to suffer an ACL injury. Yet to be seen on Leeds’ media, he is likely undergoing rehab.
Largie Ramazani
Perhaps the most surprising omission. Ramazani impressed in the second half of the season on loan at Valencia, and there has been debate about his Leeds future. His omission is a clear hint he is not needed.

Max Wober
After an uninspiring loan at Werder Bremen with Isaac Schmidt, in which Wober struggled with injury again, it is not a shock to see him omitted. Wober is currently training in Austria with other free agents.
Sam Chambers
A little bit of a surprise was Chambers’ name missing. The Scotland youth international made his debut under Farke during 2024-25, even starting for Leeds. But he has had injuries and is absent for the trip.
