Jack Harrison’s future at Leeds United is under the spotlight this summer, with an MLS side now entering the picture for the experienced winger.

Harrison has had a complicated relationship with Elland Road in recent years, spending two seasons on loan at Everton following the Whites’ relegation before returning to the club in 2025, only to be loaned out to Fiorentina in Serie A in January this year.

With Daniel Farke actively reshaping his squad ahead of a second Premier League season, the 29-year-old’s position at the club looks increasingly uncertain, and interest from across the Atlantic has now emerged to complicate matters further.

The new chapter being written in LS11 may not have room for a player whose Leeds United career has felt like a series of false starts in recent years.

New England Revolution plot Harrison swoop

According to The Blazing Musket, the New England Revolution are interested in signing Harrison – a move that would represent a return to his American roots.

After stints in the Liverpool and Manchester United academies, the winger kicked off his career with New York City FC before making the move to European football.

The American outlet noted that Harrison has personal ties to New England, having attended Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts, where the Revs are based – adding a sentimental dimension to what would otherwise be a straightforward sporting decision.

His MLS pedigree is well established, as he contributed 14 goals and 10 assists in 61 appearances for New York City FC before joining their sister club Manchester City in 2018, from where he was loaned to Leeds United – eventually signing permanently in 2021.

Harrison’s contribution to Leeds’ promotion-winning campaign in 2020 and their ninth-place Premier League finish the following season remains fondly remembered by supporters, making any departure a bittersweet one.

What it means for Leeds United

Harrison carries a significant wage from his five-year contract signed in April 2023, and with Farke looking to add fresher, hungrier options in wide areas this summer, freeing up that budget could facilitate more pressing recruitment priorities.

A return to MLS may suit all parties, and New England Revolution’s interest arrives at precisely the right moment.
