Leeds United fans will question the 49ers’ approach to this transfer window but it does come with heavy reason.
The Whites have suffered many blows this January already, as Farke’s claim of a quiet window at Leeds is slowly coming to fruition.
It is looking like minimal signings are coming through the door on the current basis that no concrete deals are going on around Elland Road.
Farke’s plan with Josuha Guilavogui hasn’t worked but could help Leeds fans’ frustration in seeing an incoming this January.
However, a new update has emerged which may change the fanbase’s perspective on how the 49ers have managed this window.
Why the 49ers haven’t made any January signings at Leeds United
The Leeds boss may share this concern with the Leeds faithful, although he’s been mute on any business this window, Farke has said he wants three signings.
Looking at the Championship table, it would suggest Leeds are the last team that need any new arrivals with the Whites in a really strong spell at the moment.

Despite this, the feeling around the club is that more depth is needed, but a new update has come to the surface of why this may not happen this window.
Journalist, Ben Jacobs, spoke to GIVEMESPORT about the 49ers’ stance on the window and why they have managed it effectively for the summer.
Leeds did bid for Gustavo Hamer in August but Sheffield United have made it clear he won’t be leaving this month, as Jacobs linked Hamer’s situation to Leeds’ future plan.
“Gustavo Hamer is another target they really like. Sheffield United won’t be selling to a rival in January, but if Leeds go up and Sheffield United don’t, there may be an opportunity there as well,” Jacobs said.
“So yeah, right now, it’s relatively quiet from Leeds’ perspective. It’s not that they’re not trying for names, it’s just that the right name at the right price isn’t necessarily available and Leeds want to make sure that they save a bit of the budget and prioritise targets with a view to next season, when hopefully they’ll be in the Premier League.
“And that might lead to quite a quiet January.”
The 49ers’ plan will benefit Leeds in the long-term
This might raise alarm bells for Leeds, but actually, the 49ers have planned the scenario quite well.
There are no real signs that Leeds are going to struggle with their current squad and needless money doesn’t need to be spent this window.
Paraag Marathe has gone back on his Leeds pledge which will frustrate fans that there is no desire to do business this window, but by saving money they can prepare for the Premier League.
However, there is no definite chance Leeds will be a Premier League side next season so if it doesn’t pay off, it could backfire massively.
If it does, the 49ers will deserve a pat on the back.
