Leeds United are continuing to mull over who should be appointed as their next manager.
The Whites had hoped to wrap up the process this week with face-to-face interviews taking place between Paraag Marathe, Angus Kinnear and potential candidates in London.
However, as the clock ticks towards the weekend, doubts are creeping in as to whether a new boss will indeed be confirmed this week, as patience begins to wear thing among the fanbase.
Daniel Farke, Patrick Vieira and Scott Parker are reportedly the final three on Leeds‘ shortlist, with Carlos Corberan having been ruled out earlier this week.
Reports on Wednesday indicated Vieira had emerged as the front-runner for the role, but with promotion being the aim, there is only one man on that list who should be handed the job.
Incredible statistic that proves Farke is right man for Leeds
While Parker does also possess two Championship promotions on his CV like Farke, it is the German’s which were far more impressive.
On both occasions he won the league at Norwich City it was on a shoe string budget, while Parker almost fell over the line with the best squads in the division at Fulham and Bournemouth respectively.
In Farke’s last two seasons as a manager in England’s second tier, he only lost an incredible 13 matches, three of which came in the opening five weeks of the first campaign. That is a run of just 10 defeats in 88 league matches.
The 46-year-old clearly has the blueprint to get out of the Championship, doing so by playing an attractive brand of attacking football.
Farke twice romped to the title at Norwich, amassing 94 and 97 points respectively with the goals free flowing on each occasion.
With a bigger budget at Leeds, the ingredients would all be there for him to make it a hattrick of promotions. It’s a no brainer.
