Larry Nance Jr has once again reiterated he has no say in who will be appointed as Leeds United’s new manager.
Nance Jr was responding to a Leeds supporter on Twitter who urged him to avoid bringing in Patrick Vieira amid reports he is now the front runner for the job.
The New Orleans Pelicans NBA star is one of the 60 members that are included within the San Francisco 49ers Enterprises takeover of Leeds.

49ers Enterprises is effectively split into two separate group, one of which is a collection of 11 key investors who are seen as the major players and decision makers.
Behind them is then a collection of numerous minor investors, who according to the Athletic, are seen as bringing ‘added value’ to the takeover. This is where Nance Jr fits into the buyout.
Nance Jr responds to Leeds fan on Vieira rumours
Since 49ers Enterprises’ investment in Leeds was confirmed almost two weeks ago, Nance Jr has been extremely vocal on Twitter on matters surrounding the club.
His response on the Vieira rumours was to once again remind fans he has no involvement in who the new manager will be, before then urging them not to write off anyone who is brought in.
He said: “First off… AGAIN, I have no say in this. So telling me does nothing lol.
“Second, I have no idea who we’re hiring, but to instantly write anyone off is silly in my opinion. Sports have a funny way of making the best of us eat our words.”

It is nice to see a level of honest communication from someone within the 49ers, even if there is involvement is on a small scale.
Nance Jr makes an important point that anyone who does come in cannot be written off straight away, even if he is not their first choice.
Leeds fans on Twitter is certainly something he will have to get used to, though.
