It will come as no surprise to see Leeds United are reportedly interested in Ryan Kent once again as he struggles in Turkish football – but Barry Ferguson has ordered Rangers to re-sign the attacker.
Kent, 27, left Rangers after five years at Ibrox in which he won the league and reached the final of the Europa League. A player that was constantly linked with a move to Leeds United, under Marcelo Bielsa.
But at Fenerbahce, he has struggled. Kent has only started seven of his 14 games, completing 90 mins on just one occasions. He has scored once goal, laying two assists. Kent is now expected to leave.
TeamTalk said Leeds, Rangers and Bournemouth are all interested in raiding Fenerbahce for Kent. Then, Miliyet claim Sheffield United could sign him, as Paul Heckingbottom eyes a reunion with the winger.
The ex-Leeds gaffer worked with Kent at Barnsley. The latter report even says Kent is ‘unhappy’ at his new side, and is ‘ready to leave’. Ferguson has urged Rangers to sign Kent in his Daily Record column.
“There has been a bit of talk about Ryan Kent. Don’t know if the manager sees that as a priority position, but if he is looking for someone who can provide something different, then Kent could be that guy.
“I like him. Always have. Even when things weren’t going particularly well, he always put in a shift for the team. I’d have him back but I suspect a lot of moving parts would have to align for it to happen.”

It seems inconceivable that Leeds did not try and sign Kent in the summer when he was available on a free but would now be tempted – with Kent contract to Fener until 2027. Fanatik say he is rated at £7m.
But, with Willy Gnonto consistently being linked with an exit and Ian Poveda perhaps feeling he needs a move away from Elland Road in January – the Whites could do with a winger and Kent may be targeted.
