Ryan Kent has emerged as a target for Leeds United again with the star failing to make an impact at Fenerbahce since joining in the summer – but Paul Heckingbottom is also keen, at Sheffield United.
Kent, 27, has constantly been linked with a move to Elland Road over the years, with Marcelo Bielsa said to be a big fan of the winger. He left Rangers in the summer to join Fenerbahce, but he is struggling.
He has played 14 times for Fener since joining the club, but only seven starts – completing 90 minutes on one occasion. Kent has managed one goal and two assists for the Turkish giants. A lack of form.
TeamTalk say Leeds are interested in raiding Fenerbahce to finally bring Kent to Elland Road. However, Rangers and Bournemouth are also keen. Turkish site Miliyet say they are not the only clubs interested.
It is said that Kent is ‘unhappy’ regarding his lack of game time. He is ‘ready to leave’, with the player said to be ‘flirting’ with Sheffield United. Kent worked under Heckingbottom while on loan at Barnsley.

It is that Barnsley spell that saw Kent then go on loan to Rangers before signing permanently, while Heckingbottom convinced the Leeds board – while at Oakwell – that he would do a job at Elland Road.
So, there might be some substance in that Heckingbottom wants to lure Kent to Sheffield United and form a reunion. Kent certainly has the ability to impress in the Premier League, but he needs game time.
Leeds’ interest does seem a bit surprising, given the club boasting five options out wide in Willy Gnonto, Cree Summerville, Dan James, Jaidon Anthony and Ian Poveda. But if one or two go, who knows.
