Leeds United’s squad is currently littered with talented young players who have massive potential.
The Whites had only three players in their starting line-up over the age of 25 in the 4-0 demolition of Swansea City on Tuesday night, and as per Transfermarkt, they have the third youngest average age of the squad in the Championship.
Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter are just a selection of the excellent young talent Daniel Farke has at his disposal, and all three have played key roles in Leeds‘ charge to second place.
But from that trio, it is arguably Summerville who has shone brightest. He has 15 goals and eight assists in the Championship already this season, and defences just cannot contain him.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Farke believes Summerville is doing all the right things off the pitch to be successful on it, and says the ‘sky is the limit’ for his potential.
Farke says Summerville can go to the top
He said: “He is playing an outstanding season in terms of performances, end product and also his willingness to work for the team, to be there and deliver on a daily basis even in training, otherwise you can’t deliver consistency in this league.
“You have to be on it each and every day on the training pitch but also with good habits in nutrition, sleep and recovery. We don’t have to speak about the potential of Cree, the sky is the limit with his potential but to show consistency this is crucial. It’s no coincidence he has delivered many end products.”

It would be fair to say that most people would’ve envisaged him enjoying a good season at this level after his decision to stay, but at the same time, his end product has undoubtedly exceeded expectations.
Summerville has arguably been the division’s best player this season and former QPR boss Gareth Ainsworth even thinks Leeds will be promoted just by having him in their ranks.
Farke has consistently spoken about how hard Summerville has worked in training under his management, and the 22-year-old has very much reaped the rewards of doing that.
