Chris Wilder and Leeds United fans aren’t exactly a match made in heaven as there has been plenty of back and forth this season.
Wilder will be frustrated having lost to his arch-rivals in Daniel Farke’s Leeds side.
Farke’s genius tactics for Leeds got them over the lines with a dramatic finish against Sheffield United, as Ao Tanaka and Joel Piroe secured the three points.
This has now left the Blades chasing even more, as a five-point gap puts the Whites in charge of the Championship title race.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 34 | 22 | 9 | 3 | 71 | 21 | 50 | 75 | |
| 2 | 34 | 22 | 6 | 6 | 48 | 26 | 22 | 70 | |
| 3 | 34 | 18 | 14 | 2 | 43 | 9 | 34 | 68 | |
| 4 | 34 | 17 | 11 | 6 | 50 | 31 | 19 | 62 |
Leeds will be thrilled Wilder’s ‘mind games’ didn’t pay off, but won’t be happy after what the Sheffield manager said about the Whites faithful.

Chris Wilder’s claim on Leeds United fans after Sheffield United defeat
You can imagine tempers would’ve been high in the Blades camp after such a detrimental defeat.
The Whites continue to impress and Premier League promotion is looking like a certainty at the moment.
After the game, Wilder did praise Leeds, but he also sent a salty remark to the Whites fanbase in the post-match press conference.
“Leeds fans are very vociferous as we all understand, but we kept them quiet for some time,” Wilder claimed.
“You have to take your medicine and move on.”

Leeds fans will laugh at Wilder’s comments about Dan James
Despite his admiration for this Leeds side, Wilder doesn’t exactly take losing lightly.
You can see his anger after the game and that became clear after what he said about Dan James post-match.
Speaking following the defeat, Wilder said Sheffield United kept James ‘pretty quiet’ which didn’t seem like the smartest of claims.

Wilder will be fuming at Sheffield’s poor defending, but it seems as though the overall result will be playing on his mind for the next couple of days.
